Recognition of Prior Learning Program

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a process whereby the existing workforce is provided with the opportunity to hone the skills and knowledge they have developed outside the formal education system assessed and valued against qualification frameworks. All the existing workforce members who are not formally trained for the respective job role they are undertaking have the opportunity to get assessed and certified under various schemes sponsored by the Government of India.

BBSDA will be undertaking such programmes for the benefit of the existing workforce so as to help them in their career progression and get them a recognized certificate that is internationally accepted.

In this programme, the candidates have to undergo 8 hours to 30 hours of skill orientation, at the end of which they undertake an assessment test conducted by the respective Sector Skills Council. Candidates who clear the assessments will be given a certificate by the Sector Skills Council.
